Highgate Taverners Come to Town

Spring Lane was looking immaculate last Saturday as we welcomed the Highgate Taverners back to Grantchester.

Unfortunately the GCC upper order proved to be somewhat camera shy and were back in the pavilion (or rather our new marquee) by the time I arrived. However, the last wicket pair were definitely not as they put on 50ish for the errrr…. last wicket

146 seemed a decent but eminently gettable total. However, the GCC bowlers had other ideas.

but the home team pace quartet were not to be denied as GCC ended up winning by several tens of runs.
