Double Trouble

You spend half a week preparing the square, a couple of days fixing the team and tea, most of Sunday morning on pitch and ground preparations, make the appropriate supplications to the No Rain deity of your choice, all in expectation of a splendid Sunday afternoon game of cricket and then…. the Oppo just fail to appear….

Boring!

Fortunately the GCC’s loyal cadre of spectators were not disappointed as a Double wicket competition was rapidly organised. I wish I could tell you who came out on top of the GCC Double wicket pile but I can’t claim to have fully understood the rules let alone the scoring system. Suffice it to say 233 was not a winning score.
