Nets start on Sunday March 15th at 11am, at the Fenner’s Indoor Cricket School, followed by 11am on March 22nd and then we switch to Noon from Sunday March 29th. Nets continue at Noon every Sunday into May.

For the first time IIRC, we did not require the master wizard Jerry to get the scarifier to start so things were well under way when I arrived a fashionable 30 mins late in anticipation of Jerry being called upon to work his magic on the recalcitrant machinery.

Bishop Stortford’s Flycatchers visited on Sunday and for once the spectators were not treated to a run fest at Spring Lane. The Ground looked its usual immaculate self and the pitch seemed true enough credit is due to the bowlers and fielders. Talking of fielding….
