It’s Back, GCC’s Annual Quiz Night – 7pm, Friday February, 23rd

Can the Allotmenteers manage to regain their mojo and get back to their winning ways??? Will the (formerly) reigning Wrays reform?? Are Team K done? And who did win last year….

7pm (sharpish) on Friday, February, 23rd in the Grantchester Village Hall with our new (brand new) Quizmaster.

Grand prizes, Justin’s famous Chilli, Rice & Garlic Bread, served with great Flair, Full bar with beer from a special guest brewery and a Full selection of wine and soft drinks.

Only £15.00 per person. Teams of a maximum of 6 recommended.

  • An excellent club dinner at our good friends The Orchard Tea Garden last weekend. Wiz and Cap’n Dan got things moving with a Welcome and Season Review (respectively). A slight hiccup occurred as the mystery guest speaker was stuck in the Executive lounge at Luton Airport (Really?, I mean is there an Executive lounge at Luton?? Ed) but fortunately our former Captain of Vice, Jamie M, was able to step in at the last minute and keep us (royally or quantumly) entertained before with an erudite discourse on “How long a piece of string really is”.
  • Don’t forget the Grantchester Cricket Club AGM on Sunday February, 25th also at the Orchard Tea Garden. 10:30 for 11:00
  • Nets! Yep, they start at Noon on March 18th as we return to Fenner’s and have boyth lanes booked….
  • and finally but by no means leastly, the Grantchester Charity 10k & 3k have taken to Twitter @GCRuns. Check it out and follow, retweet and everything else you do with this sort of stuff
