All Good Things…

…must come to an end but it was a glorious afternoon as GCC hosted the London Erratics for the final game of the 2015 season. A bit of horse (no-kidding) trading meant that both sides started with 10. After being dropped four times (admittedly of one ball), narrowly avoided being run-out (more than once), and just being able to make it off the field and find my camera, Jake appeared as a recently acquired Erratic. His first over was quite eventful

Yes, 100 out a total of 109 for 1 after some ten overs. Not surprisingly, things quietened down a bit but soon Jamie and Baggers set about the bowling

In the end, GCC’s 231 proved too much for the Erratics although they did raise a cheer when they passed half GCC’s score. Nonetheless a most enjoyable afternoon down by the River in Grantchester and a fitting end to the 2015 season. Now where’s the Ben-Gay…
